Halloween is around the corner

I'm working on my weekly chores at the moment. Taking a break cause I've been going non-stop since 9 am. I'm going trick or treating with my mother-in-law and nephew. My son's gonna have fun being Gecko. I hope this goes better than that block party we went to last year. All the candy had run out by the time we got there. We got like 1 full size candy bar and some hot dogs. Then my peacemaker costume started unraveling at the bottom. Never going there again.

My engineer costume should hold up much better. Only thing that has me worried is having the goggles on cause they're like sunglasses and it's gonna be evening. I can take them off tho.

Too Good To be True

So the sewing machine I got. Turns out the tension knob is missing. And I tried to adjust it without it so I ended up fucking the tension. Waiting on a part to ship. The part is 25$ with a halloween coupon code but this whole thing is sinking us down to 75$ which I could have just gotten a lower end walmart one but honestly this is a full unit with 25 stitches so I think it's a good deal still if I can get this dial installed right. I'm pretty good with a screwdriver and fixed things before. This shouldn't be too hard.

Posting my Engineer costume >_< Patch annoyances

Sewing machine is fucked up so I can't really make a patch unless I hand sew it which....to be frank my hand stitching is horrible. I shouldn't have put off the patch but I thought I could get the sewing machine working by then but nope. Gonna have to wait on that part. ugh maybe I should have ordered that patch from etsy and uploaded my pictures on November first but bleh too late for that. I ordered that anyway cause I'd rather just have that out of the way before a con I would attend. So late november early december.

I'm gonna post my costume anyway cause fuck it yall know who I'm supposed to be. You're not gonna be like "uhhh how I am supposed to know it's Engineer and not Bob the Builder?" because Bob the Builder WEARS ORANGE
